Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Building Custodian III at the Administrative Building to oversee cleaning, heating, ventilation, and general maintenance of equipment in the building and grounds.

You will direct and plan the work of custodial staff, arrange workloads, supervise performance, and ensure safe, efficient operations; the Head Custodian role supports middle and high schools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years Fulton County Schools custodial experience or 3 years outside custodial experience required; lead/supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to supervise custodial staff and clearly convey cleaning/maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work for self and custodial staff to ensure building cleanliness.
• Monitors upkeep of building and grounds to a satisfactory standard.
• Operates cleaning and maintenance equipment as required and trains staff.
• Submits maintenance work orders and reports problems or performance issues.
