Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Building Custodian III for the Administrative Building. You will supervise custodial staff, plan workloads, and oversee cleaning and maintenance of the building and grounds.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior custodial experience, with leadership experience preferred. The position is on-site and part of the district facilities team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Fulton County Schools custodial experience or 3 years of outside custodial experience.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to custodial staff to ensure cleanliness.
• Monitors upkeep of building and grounds for acceptable condition.
• Operates floor cleaning equipment and weighs 75 lbs or more.
• Operates carpet cleaning equipment weighing over 50 lbs.
• Instructs staff in proper use of supplies and equipment.
• Ensures doors are open during occupancy and secured after hours.
• Shuts off utilities and lights as required by procedures.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Submits maintenance work orders and reports issues.
• Assists maintenance personnel as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by administrator.
