Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in New Jersey seeks a Head of Practice Area Programming to lead AI/GenAI and enterprise capability initiatives across the JJ Learn program. You will shape the enterprise capability roadmap, align investments with business strategy, and oversee governance, measurement, and adoption at scale.

You will manage a high-performing team, budget, and vendor strategy while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred for strategic leadership.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience with 5+ years in people leadership.
  • Track record launching AI/GenAI initiatives at scale with measurable impact.
  • Ability to translate AI concepts for executives and non-technical audiences.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence across priorities.
  • Budget, vendor, and portfolio governance with disciplined reporting.
  • Data-driven approach to capability building and change leadership.

Responsibilities

Head, Practice Area Programming – AI/GenAI and Enterprise Capabilities (JJ Learn) — New Brunswick, NJ
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the enterprise capability roadmap for AI and critical future skills, aligning learning investments to business strategy and Leadership Behaviors.
  • Set enterprise-wide capability strategies and outcomes for AI Literacy and AI Fluency (responsible use in everyday workflows/decisions) and other priority capabilities.
  • Own the measurement strategy (metrics and experimental approaches) to validate sustained behavior change and business outcomes.
  • Design and deliver scalable end-to-end learning journeys for applicable practice areas; embed skills into daily work.
  • Oversee responsible AI learning governance with Legal/Compliance/Privacy/Security to ensure ethical use, risk requirements, and approved tools.
  • Activate enterprise adoption via AI Accelerators and other amplification mechanisms.
  • Drive coordinated enterprise upskilling with shared visibility and a unified employee experience.
  • Lead a high-performing team and manage budget and vendor strategy; ensure operational excellence, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders and steward of the external ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 12+ years progressive experience; 5+ years as a people leader.
  • Deep expertise launching AI/GenAI/Digital enterprise initiatives at scale with measurable business impact.
  • Strong fluency in AI/GenAI concepts and work implications (use cases, data/privacy); can translate for executives/non-technical audiences.
  • Executive presence and influence; ability to align stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.
  • Budget/vendor/portfolio stewardship with disciplined measurement/reporting.
  • Data-driven approach to capability building.
  • Exceptional communication and global change leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA/MS).
  • Experience launching enterprise-scale programs across multiple regions.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI and AI governance; translating guardrails into employee behaviors.
