Résumé du poste

Wall Street Careers® is seeking a senior valuation professional in New York to own the end-to-end fair value process for a diverse portfolio including privately originated loans, equity co-investments, and warrants. You will challenge external providers, test credit quality, and oversee monthly pricing cycles for illiquid assets.

The role requires deep ASC 820 knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to present to committees and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in valuation, private credit, leveraged finance, credit investing, audit, or valuation advisory.
  • Hands-on experience marking illiquid credit: direct loans, leveraged loans, stressed or distressed debt.
  • Deep working knowledge of fair value accounting (ASC 820) and Level 2/3 hierarchy.
  • Familiarity with secondary loan market mechanics, pricing services, and dealer quotes.

Responsabilités

  • Own the end-to-end monthly and quarterly fair value process for a large portfolio of privately originated loans, equity co-investments, warrants, and other hard-to-value positions.
  • Act as the independent check on external valuation providers, pressure-testing their views on credit quality, spread levels, comparable deals, recovery outcomes, and borrower performance.
  • Run the monthly pricing cycle for the liquid loan book, resolving vendor and dealer quote discrepancies, stale marks, and outliers.
  • Partner with deal and portfolio management teams on internal valuation frameworks and models.
  • Prepare and present valuation results to the firm’s valuation committee, board-level governance bodies, and senior leadership.
  • Write and refine valuation policy, methodology, and control documentation to institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, administrators, pricing services, and LP due diligence on valuation matters.
  • Drive improvements in data, automation, workflow, and reporting across the valuation process.
