Job summary

City of Kenyon seeks an Operations Superintendent to lead daily operations, maintenance, and repair of electric and water utilities. You will supervise staff, manage budgeting, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to long-term planning and customer service.

Expect after-hours emergencies, weekends, and on-call duties. Candidates should have a vocational line worker program, Journeyman Lineworker License, and a Class A Water License (or ability to obtain one), plus CDL Class B.

Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational line worker program.
• Journeyman Lineworker License required.
• Ability to obtain Class A Water License or equivalent is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, maintenance, and repair of electric and water utilities.
• Supervise utility staff and coordinate field operations.
• Oversee budgeting, safety, regulatory compliance, and long-term planning.
• Support customer service and coordinate with City Administrator and Utility Commission.
• Participate in after-hours emergencies, weekends, and on-call duties.
