Job summary

Southern Land Company is seeking a Director of Multifamily Horticulture Services to lead landscape and horticulture performance across its national multifamily portfolio. The role manages subcontractors to SLC standards, shapes sourcing and service structures, and partners with senior leaders to deliver outstanding resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of urban landscape management for city conditions.
• Ability to diagnose plant health and site problems quickly.
• Experience managing landscape subcontractors and inspections.
• Understanding plant palettes across multiple U.S. climates.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for seasonal color.

Responsibilities

• Manage landscape subcontractors across the multifamily portfolio to standards.
• Evaluate vendors, rebids, contracts, and service models for best value.
• Write and maintain landscape scopes of work; review bids and invoices.
• Conduct property inspections; assign corrective actions and track resolution.
• Ensure seasonal displays are installed on time and looked after.
• Oversee irrigation performance and water management in various markets.
• Coordinate landscape transitions for new communities from construction to maintenance.
