Group Management Services in Richfield, OH is hiring a Manager of Underwriting Operations. This leadership role oversees actuarial and underwriting functions, pricing for Master Health Plans, and reserves, with a focus on reducing risk and improving margins.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in actuarial/underwriting analysis, 5+ years of leadership, and experience with a TPA. Hybrid schedule and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven actuarial and/or underwriting analysis.
• 5+ years of people management/leadership skills.
• Experience with a TPA preferred.
• Sound business acumen - understands impact on revenue, margin, risk, and market trends.

Responsabilités

• Oversee company and client actuarial and underwriting functions.
• Submit accurate pricing for Master Health Plans (MHP) and actuarial data.
• Establish adequate loss reserves (IBNR, catastrophic and deficiency).
• Monitor high-claim clients and develop high-cost resolutions.
• Assist in modeling future projections for claims and growth.
• Determine rate development for new clients and renewals.
• Develop actuarial models and generate reports for future projections.
• Liaise between all MHP vendors.
• Oversee all areas of the benefits quoting process.
