Job summary

Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) seeks a Director of Theme & Travel Camps to lead planning, staffing, and operation of Theme and Travel Camp programs at the MJCCA Day Camps in Dunwoody, GA. The role also supports year-round School's Out programming and collaborates with the Day Camps leadership team.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative, and able to oversee multiple programs, budgets, and staff in a fast-paced camp environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in camping, recreation, education, youth programming, or a related field.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging, age-appropriate programming.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with children, families, staff, vendors, and community partners.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by the camp calendar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, development, staffing, and operation of Theme and Travel Camp programs.
• Support year-round School's Out Camp programming and contribute to Day Camps leadership.
• Supervise seasonal staff and manage programming, logistics, vendors, and budgets.
• Develop age-appropriate schedules, curricula, and staff resources.
• Monitor enrollment and adjust programming and resources as needed.
• Maintain relationships with attractions, transportation providers, contractors, and community partners.
• Provide on-site supervision and ensure programs are organized, staffed, and prepared.
