Job summary

Supercarb seeks a Lead, Technical Apparel Product Development & Design to own products end to end from unmet user need through materials, design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and launch.

You will work at the intersection of material science, technical apparel design, product development, and manufacturing, interfacing with mills, factories, and performance data to deliver production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in technical apparel product development, design, or production.
• Deep understanding of fit, patternmaking, grading, garment construction, and fabrics.
• Experience developing production-ready tech packs and communicating with factories.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple suppliers and development tracks.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems worth solving by interviewing users and observing use conditions.
• Translate needs into material and product requirements for development.
• Develop materials into yarn and fabric constructions with the technical team.
• Create production-ready tech packs including flats, BOMs, and measurements.
• Run fit sessions, coordinate prototypes, and organize wear trials.
• Manage supplier network for quality, cost, MOQs, and lead times.
• Drive bulk production and ensure final product reflects design intent.
• Contribute to launches, collaborations, and brand storytelling.
