Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Director, Team Communications for the United Football League to shape and execute football and business communications across two markets. Hybrid role based in markets such as Columbus, DC, Dallas, Louisville, or Orlando, with responsibility to elevate team visibility and engage fans.

You will build media relationships, craft press materials, coordinate with Marketing, Sponsorship, and Community Relations, and lead a cross-functional communications program across leagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications is required.
• 8+ years in corporate/marketing communications preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven media relations and audience engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute earned media strategies to elevate visibility and revenue.
• Build relationships with local, regional and national media.
• Coordinate football and business communications across brand, marketing and partnerships.
• Develop football-related press materials.
• Monitor daily media coverage and report insights.
• Support local communications for league initiatives.
