Job summary

Atomic - Remote Jobs is seeking a licensed US CPA to sign off AI-prepared tax returns and establish QA rules with engineers. You will ensure accuracy across 1040s, 1065s, 1120S and C corps, and shape the review playbook for multi-state work.

Qualifications

• Active US CPA license with valid PTIN
• 5+ years preparing and reviewing complex individual and small-business returns
• Final sign-off experience on returns with no partner oversight
• Experience with professional tax software and automation tools
• Ability to document review rules, checklists and error reports
• Experience mentoring or leading junior reviewers

Responsibilities

• Sign off on AI-prepared returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, C corp) under your license
• Define edge-case rules, QA steps and hard stops with the founder/engineers
• Log engine errors with form, line and repro steps for engineers
• Collaborate on tax strategy within IRS/state guidelines and Circular 230
• Mentor a lean reviewer team and help build scalable processes
• Provide feedback to product on prompts, prompts or scheduling logic
