The Nuclear Company, an AI-first startup in the nuclear and energy space, is hiring a Lead Recruiter to source and win top engineers, project leaders, and specialists. You will build the TA function from the ground up as the first dedicated recruiting hire, shaping a scalable team in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-cycle in-house recruiting for technical roles.
• Experience in nuclear industry or regulated sectors.
• Experience building or scaling a TA function.
• Proven success hiring senior leaders in competitive markets.
• Strong direct outreach and networking ability.
• Experience in startups or fast-growing companies.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the executive team to understand hiring priorities, timelines, and needed profiles.
• Recruit directly for senior and critical roles, maintaining a steady pipeline.
• Plan growth of the TA function, including adding recruiters and onboarding the team.
• Build the recruiting tech stack and workflows linking HR, Finance, and Legal systems.
• Hire, manage, and coach future recruiting team members as headcount grows.
• Source proactively for scarce nuclear talent.
• Represent the company at industry events and hiring fairs.
• Advise managers on talent market conditions and timelines.
• Guide candidates through a strong experience from first chat to offer.
• Coordinate compensation, relocation, and onboarding with HR/Finance/Legal.
