Job summary

Investedinthe Mission in Moorpark, CA is seeking a Chief Engineer, Systems to act as the technical liaison among Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Supply Chain, overseeing a portfolio of engineering projects. You will guide design and development with the Director of Engineering and drive requirements, architecture, integration, and cost/schedule tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 15 years engineering design or development experience.
• 3 years of project management experience (PMP/CAPM a plus).
• Experience integrating new capabilities onto platforms.
• Experience planning schedules, budgets, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates customer requirements and identifies platform impacts, cost, schedule, and technical risks.
• Develops new product requirements with PMs and customers.
• Reviews proposals, specifications, and ICDs.
• Defines system requirements and generates specifications.
• Contributes to proposal designs, cost estimates, and resourcing.
• Ensures integration meets performance, delivery, and budget targets.
• Reviews ECPs and RFDs and maintains baselines.
• Mentors engineering personnel to improve skills and leadership.
• Collaborates with PMs and customer leads to resolve technical issues.
• Creates documentation such as requirements, high-level designs, and test plans.
• Develops materials for project briefings and design reviews.
• Reviews specs, CDRLs, and ICDs; supports stakeholder reviews.
• Partners with senior leadership, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain on cross-functional priorities.
