Overview




The Head of Systems Engineering is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the integrated systems used in lab operations. This includes managing Lab information management systems (LIMS), material planning systems, process automation, and data analytics platforms. The role ensures that production systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in alignment with business objectives, quality standards, and regulatory compliance






Responsibilities




    Lead the strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing systems, including MES, SCADA, PLC integrations, and ERP interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, operations, and quality assurance to improve production workflows and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize resource usage.
  • Manage system-related projects including upgrades, migrations, or new deployments.Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within all manufacturing systems.
  • Develop training programs and documentation for system users and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies or software solutions to enhance manufacturing capability.Supervise and support a team of systems analysts or technicians as applicable.





Skills / Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing systems management, with hands-on experience in MES and ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency with software such as SAP, Oracle, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or similar platforms.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or PMP.Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and smart factory technologies.
  • Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL-based platforms
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial environments.
