Habitat Capital (HCap) has been a nationally certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) since 2017. HCap is a wholly-owned entity of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI or Habitat) and was created to serve our more than 1,000 US-based Habitat affiliates by providing an array of financial services and products to support their work as affordable mortgage originators, real estate developers, home-builders, sellers, and partners for housing and community solutions. To date, HFHI and HCap have provided over $400MM in capital to its US domestic affiliate network via enterprise-level, secured project-level, bridge and structured financing for affordable housing and community development projects as well NMTC allocation for homeownership initiatives. Additionally, HCap seeks to develop and provide permanent mortgage financing products. HCap values creativity and flexibility in developing financial products for our customers and working with capital partners who share our mission.
HCap is hiring a Head of Strategy and Operations that will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic initiatives that align with our mission and goals, managing existing and new partnerships, and creating pathways for innovation and growth through new programs and products. Reporting to the VP of HFHI and Executive Director of HCap, the Head of Strategy and Operations will manage and oversee the hiring of a team in the near term. As a people manager, the Head of Strategy and Operations will be expected to embody the principles and values that Habitat for Humanity was founded on and ensure a high performing, people-centric culture within the team.

HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $127,420 to $149,900.
