Job summary

The State of Oklahoma, ODMHSAS, is seeking a Procurement Director to lead the Purchasing Division. This executive role has sole authority for acquiring all materials, supplies, equipment, and services, and will develop procurement strategies and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities include contract management, ensuring compliance with laws and ethical standards, mentoring the procurement staff, and driving cost-effective sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and seven years of professional business or public administration experience, including four years in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent combination allowed with substitution for each year of required education.
• Must obtain and maintain Certified Procurement Officer (CPO) certification within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with agency goals.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire the procurement team toward excellence.
• Contract management and ensuring legal/regulatory compliance.
