Job summary

Aviation Week, part of Informa Markets, is seeking a Director of Space Programs & Partnerships to drive the operational execution of the expanding space portfolio from our New York or DC office. You will oversee Space Tech Expo activities, including awards, pavilions, and strategic partnerships, while shaping content monetization and sponsorships.

The role combines commercial execution with content strategy, requiring strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and a proven ability to grow

Qualifications

• 7+ years in event management, business development, or commercial operations within aerospace, defense, or B2B media.
• Proven track record delivering revenue growth and managing complex programs.
• Strong understanding of the commercial space ecosystem and partnerships.
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives and cross-functional programs.
• Ability to translate strategy into operational execution and measurable results.
• Proven skill in coordinating editorial/content and sales/commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic direction for Aviation Week's Space Tech Expo US presence, including exhibitor sales operations and content planning.
• Manage Space Tech Challenge Awards from sponsor acquisition to judging, promotion, and awards ceremony.
• Scale STAR Pavilion and Commercial Space Media Pavilion by handling exhibitor packages, sponsorships, and programming logistics.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for partnerships (e.g., Commercial Space Federation) to maximize value and deliverables.
