Job summary

Vizient seeks a strategic leader to guide a team of Sourcing Executives in developing custom member contracting strategies that cut spend, boost value, and enhance satisfaction. You will direct the full sourcing lifecycle, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure compliant, scalable execution across departments.

You will also coach teams, track savings, and drive process improvements while leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis and reporting. Hybrid work is required in Chicago or Irving.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier negotiations, or healthcare contracting.
• Experience leading sourcing strategy and contract portfolio development in a matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience coaching employees and managing performance.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders and executives with clear communication.
• AI fluency and leadership experience in responsible AI-enabled work.
• Hybrid work model requiring three days in the office; locations Chicago or Irving.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Sourcing Executives responsible for custom member contracting strategy and value delivery.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, contract plans, and customized portfolios.
• Guide complex supplier negotiations and provide escalation support on terms and issues.
• Partner with Legal, Analytics, Sales/Client Executives, and Operations to ensure compliant execution.
• Lead onboarding and training for custom contracting programs.
• Track member savings and program performance for reporting and improvement.
• Coach and develop team members and manage performance.
• Identify sourcing opportunities and revenue-generating strategies.
• Develop tools and processes for consistency and scalability across contracting.
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, and productivity.
