Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a senior sourcing leader to direct a team of Sourcing Executives responsible for custom member contracting strategies that reduce spend and improve value.

You will shape sourcing plans, guide negotiations, and align with Legal, Analytics, and Operations to ensure compliant, scalable execution. This role requires 7+ years in strategic sourcing, strong analytical skills, and proven people leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier negotiations, or healthcare contracting.
• People leadership or direct management experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead sourcing strategy, contract planning, supplier negotiations, and portfolio development.
• Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience coaching and developing employees and managing performance.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders and executive audiences.
• AI fluency and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hybrid work model with three days in the office; Chicago, IL or Irving, TX.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Sourcing Executives responsible for custom member contracting strategy and value delivery.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, contract plans, customized portfolios, and business processes.
• Guide complex supplier negotiations and provide escalation on contract terms.
• Partner with Legal, Analytics, Sales / Client Executives, Information and Data Services, Operations, Compliance and Category teams.
• Lead new member engagement orientation, onboarding, and training for programs.
• Track member savings, value, financial impact, and program performance.
• Coach and develop team members, set expectations and accountability.
• Identify sourcing opportunities and revenue-generating strategies.
• Develop tools and processes that create consistency and scalability.
• Use approved AI-enabled tools to improve analysis and productivity with responsible use.
