Head of Data Solutions

Base salary - $150,000-$200,000 + Equity

A fast-growing SaaS startup that recently closed its Series A is looking for a hands-on, strategic leader to head up its Data Solutions team. This team plays a critical dual role in managing customer data integrations during onboarding and supporting product demos during the sales process. The right candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, customer empathy, and proven leadership experience in SaaS implementations to help scale the team and processes through the next phase of growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team currently composed of 5 Data Solutions professionals.
  • Take ownership of the customer onboarding and implementation process, including scoping, data integration, and go-live support.
  • Redesign and optimize internal processes to scale customer implementations efficiently and repeatably.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, product, engineering, and sales to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Directly participate in implementations early on to get deep knowledge of systems and pain points.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the company as a member of the leadership team.
  • Champion a culture of asynchronous communication, documentation, and transparent collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience leading SaaS implementations, ideally in finance, billing, or analytics platforms.
  • 3+ years managing teams (5+ people) with a proven track record of hiring and scaling.
  • Deep experience working with finance and revenue data (e.g., ARR, invoicing, revenue recognition).
  • Strong project management and process design skills in a high-growth environment.
  • Comfortable working across tools like spreadsheets, SQL, and APIs; you don’t need to be an engineer, but should be data- and systems-savvy.
  • Experience with general ledgers, CRMs, and/or payment systems is a plus.
  • Highly autonomous and motivated by asynchronous, remote work environments.
  • Remote-first and asynchronous—work anywhere, anytime (as long as you can support customers during their business hours).
