Job summary

Twenty Technologies is seeking a Head of Engineering to own the engineering organization for our flagship analyst product, deployed across cloud and customer private cloud environments.

You will lead engineering managers, coordinate with the product manager and the VP of Engineering, and drive org design, hiring, and the technical roadmap to ensure security, quality, and reliable delivery of mission-critical deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, including at least 3 years managing other engineering managers.
• Track record of owning engineering execution across multiple teams with high quality and accountability.
• Architectural judgment to engage credibly with senior ICs on complex problems across a multi-layer stack.
• Owned org design decisions: team structure, scope boundaries, and sequencing of growth as headcount scales.
• Managed engineering organizations serving cloud-hosted and on-premises or customer-controlled deployments.
• Partnered with product managers to translate operational requirements into technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Supervised hiring across multiple teams with a structured, high-signal process.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering execution across the product: delivery, quality, and technical accountability across all teams.
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable a set of engineering managers and their teams.
• Drive org design decisions: team scope, composition, sequencing of splits, headcount planning.
• Balance engineering capacity across teams; make prioritization decisions when demand exceeds supply.
• Own the technical roadmap in partnership with the product manager.
• Engage at architecture level with senior ICs and ensure technical coherence.
• Supervise hiring across engineering teams and calibrate across managers.
• Partner with VP of Engineering on org strategy and cross-project initiatives.
• Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership.
• Ensure security, quality, reliability, and operational discipline for mission-critical deployments.
