Job summary

F2 is hiring its first security engineer to own end-to-end security for a multi-tenant AI platform. You will secure cloud infra, the AI execution paths, and the SOC 2 program, acting as the primary security contact for customers.

You will report to the co-founder/CEO, operate independently, and shape security from the ground up in a small, senior, high-velocity team. Location is San Francisco with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security with a strong software engineering background, shipping production code.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript.
• Hands-on cloud and application security across AWS-hosted services and modern web apps.
• Experience owning SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 from engineering.
• Ability to engage enterprise customers, answer security questionnaires and coordinate pen tests.

Responsibilities

• Own the security of a multi-tenant AI platform and cloud infrastructure.
• Threat-model LLM-driven workflows and design controls for agent-based requests.
• Manage IAM, least privilege, network boundaries, secrets, logging, and backups.
• Operate SOC 2 technical controls and build them into pipelines.
• Build detection and incident response, including customer communication and postmortems.
• Co-own questionnaires with the CRO and coordinate remediation for enterprise deals.
• Raise security bar, write actionable guidance, and potentially hire a security team.
