Job summary

Tremendous, the global payouts platform, seeks its first Head of Security. You will own security end-to-end, partner with engineering, and drive a culture of secure delivery. This player-coach role reports to the VP of Engineering and will grow into building a team as the function matures.

We operate fully remotely across the Americas with a strong emphasis on practical risk management, incident response, and AI-security governance. Competitive equity accompanies a high-impact, foundational role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security experience at a scaling company.
• Deep expertise in production security, or access/identity and policy.
• Engineer's mindset with codebase literacy.
• Ability to justify risk and balance best practices with business needs.
• Experience building or co-building a small security team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Tremendous' security posture end-to-end with engineering.
• Identify gaps, prioritize, and implement high-leverage fixes.
• Manage incident response to contain and learn from breaches.
• Drive security as a cultural shift across the company.
• Lead and staff the security function as it grows.
• Oversee AI-security posture and governance.
