Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director – Security Operations Center to lead cybersecurity operations for a rapidly evolving healthcare business, ensuring detection, investigation, response, and recovery from threats while protecting critical operations and customer trust.

As SOC leader, you’ll mature security operations, collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, identity, and engineering leaders, and drive automation and metrics to balance security with business agility and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience in large environments.
• 5 years leading SOC, IR, cyber defense, or threat detection teams.
• 5 years building and optimizing security operations platforms (SIEM, EDR/XDR).
• 3 years leading monitoring, threat hunting, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and execution of the SOC, including detection, investigation, and threat hunting.
• Define service levels, metrics, and reporting to measure effectiveness.
• Drive improvements in detection engineering, threat response, and automation.
• Collaborate with cloud, identity, and engineering teams to strengthen defenses.
