Job summary

Doist is seeking a hands-on Lead Security and Infrastructure Engineer to own security, infrastructure operations, and reliability across cloud, application, and on-chain environments. You will collaborate directly with the CTO as the founding security and infrastructure hire, building capabilities and processes for scale.

Responsibilities include owning security posture, incident response, CI/CD enhancements, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, SRE, or related field with hands-on security ownership.
• Senior/lead level experience setting security and infrastructure direction.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform experience including Cloud Run, IAM, networking, BigQuery, logging, and Security Command Center.
• Solid IAM, least privilege, secrets management, network security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Production experience with Ethereum or EVM-based systems including wallets and smart contracts.
• Proficiency with Cloudflare (WAF, DNS, rate limiting, edge security, Pages).
• Experience with Node.js / TypeScript environments; MySQL in production.
• Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD expertise; strong incident response history.
• Excellent English communication at high level; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own security posture across cloud, application, and on-chain systems.
• Lead security incident response, containment, forensics, and post-mortems.
• Build tooling, runbooks, and processes to improve incident response over time.
• Establish secure defaults for secrets management, IAM, and production access.
• Manage access governance and least-privilege across production systems.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security reviews.
• Develop detection and alerting for anomalous traffic across Cloud Run and Cloudflare.
• Support SOC 2 and audit-readiness initiatives; coordinate with stakeholders.
