Reflection is seeking a world-class Head of Technology & Security Engineering to architect and operate the security foundation for a multi-cloud research platform and GPU training capacity. You will own the full security stack from end-user compute to cloud security, detection engineering, and security-as-code, enabling research speed with rigor.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of deep engineering experience at high-valuation companies or defense environments.
• Battle-tested leadership building security engineering functions at scale.
• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST CSF and enterprise audits.
• Experience leading vendor risk, procurement security reviews, and legal contracts.
• Experience with front-line defenses for an AI company, including physical security.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a highly resilient EUC and device fleet across Linux, macOS, Windows and GPU workstations.
• Architect cloud-native security controls across multi-cloud environments for GPU clusters.
• Establish IAM governance, network segmentation, and isolation boundaries at scale.
• Implement zero-trust access with hardware-backed authentication and just-in-time authorization.
• Declare infrastructure as code and ensure automated compliance checks.
• Build telemetry pipelines for detection and response at scale.
• Oversee audits, vendor risk, and security-related contract negotiations.
