Job summary

Reflection AI is seeking a Head of Technology & Security Engineering to architect and operate a security foundation protecting our corporate environment, multi-cloud research infra, and GPU training capacity.

This executive role requires hands-on depth and strong leadership to guide security across engineering, infrastructure, legal, and physical security while enabling research speed and rigor.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of engineering leadership in high-valuation or defense-grade environments.
• Track record in building and operating security engineering functions at scale.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and enterprise security reviews.
• Experience leading vendor risk, procurement security reviews, and legal contracts.
• Front-line defenses for AI environments including data center ops.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate security foundations across multi-cloud infrastructure and GPU training capacity.
• Own end-user compute security, zero-trust, and secure tooling across research teams.
• Define guardrails and build systems that assume compromise while remaining usable.
• Implement SaC, automated compliance checks, and auditable deployment pipelines.
• Lead detection engineering and behavioral telemetry for large-scale environments.
• Engage with auditors and enterprise customers on security posture and risk.
