Qualifications

• MA/MS in the content area; special education experience a plus
• 1 year teaching Biology/Environmental Science/Chemistry; charter school experience a plus
• Strong oral and written communication with parents and colleagues
• Ability to create safe, supportive, and challenging classroom
• Strong collaboration and teamwork
• Growth mindset with openness to feedback
• Familiarity with technology; GSuite and Veracross a plus

Responsabilités

• Differentiate teaching methods to meet students' needs and interests
• Implement individualized plans for homework, organization, and behavior; provide timely feedback
• Collaborate with division directors/academic dean, SLP, OT, and counseling team
• Write, edit, and submit trimester reports, grades, evaluations, and other requests
• Advocate for homeroom students and support relationships with teachers
• Supervise homeroom students during division-wide and school-wide activities
• Participate in professional development, committees, and meetings
• Supervise student activities and trips
