Job description

Metro Consulting Services has begun work with a well-established Montessori school, Montessori School of Yakima, in Yakima, WA. They are looking for a strong Montessori leader to continue their fine tradition and help to shape the future.

The school offers educational experiences for 140 students ages 18 months – 14 years. It actively provides a peaceful, enriching, and safe environment in which children learn and grow. They incorporate the peace curriculum and emphasize respect, grace, and courtesy along with appropriate conflict resolution skills of redirection, peer mediation or restorative conversations, class agreements, praise and reinforcement of respectful behavior as well as emotional coaching and modeling by adults.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Montessori education who is well-versed in leading the operation of a Montessori school. They must be a visionary, partnering with an invested and supportive Board, who can communicate and implement a strategic plan. The HOS will effectively develop engagement with the community to join in that vision.
