S+H Search is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across heavy civil construction projects. You will develop company-wide safety programs, conduct site inspections, and lead safety training to ensure compliance and safe project execution.
Ideal candidates have OSHA 500 certification, proven leadership, and extensive experience in heavy civil construction, including road and highway work. Travel to project sites is expected to support site audits and safety improvements.

Has managed a safety program and can review and enhance safety plans?
Can propose and implement new safety initiatives?
Has experience managing workers' compensation insurance and claims?
Understands and manages EMR (Experience Modification Rate)?
Has supervised others and led teams?
Has a strong passion for safety training?
Has experience working with OCIP and CCIP programs?
Salary based on DOE
The Safety Manager may need to travel regularly between different project sites. This may involve commuting or staying overnight at project locations for inspections or meetings.
Must have OSHA 500 Certification, Certified OSHA training: Competent person for excavation and Competent Person for Confined Spaces. Experience working in heavy civil construction, including roadway and highway is a must, and airport work is a plus. Experience working with DOT, Federal entities, and government is a plus. Experience in traffic control planning.
Software - Office 365 Suite. Cloud-based applications such as OneDrive, DropBox, SiteDocs.
Construction - experience in the construction industry, and heavy civil work.
Computer and Technological- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Products.
