Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure seeks a Senior Director, Robotics to lead a high-impact organization advancing robotics strategy across perception, AI, planning, telemetry, and cloud services. You'll shape technical direction, drive production-ready robotics platforms, and deliver measurable customer value at scale.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in robotics, machine learning, AI, computer vision, perception, signal processing, data mining, software engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading applied science, research, ML, or engineering teams through complex programs from problem framing to production delivery.
• Proven ability to guide high-complexity technical decisions and communicate robotics and AI strategy to diverse audiences.
• Experience delivering AI/robotics into production, customer-facing, or operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Set the scientific and technical direction for robotics, perception, and embodied AI initiatives.
• Applied Research and Innovation: Lead teams in multi-sensor fusion, real-time signals, perception, multimodal reasoning, and planning.
• Robotics Technology Development: Drive AI capabilities for robotic systems and cloud services, including data collection, model training, inference, and monitoring.
• Solution Identification and Prioritization: Prioritize opportunities by feasibility, rigor, customer impact, and risk/reward.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Foster collaboration across disciplines and stakeholders.
• Product Innovation: Translate advances into scalable capabilities aligned with customer needs and cloud requirements.
• Data, Evaluation, and Insights: Define dataset strategy, labeling, evaluation protocols, and product metrics.
• Production Readiness and Quality Assurance: Establish reliability, latency, safety, security, and deployment standards.
• Technical Leadership and Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop senior scientists and engineers.
• Intellectual Property and Portfolio Management: Identify patents, publications, and reusable patterns.
