Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior Manager of Hardware Connectivity to lead the team that designs the 'nervous system' of Apollo. You will oversee high/low-speed signal integrity, internal networks, wire harnessing, wireless data links, and EMI/EMC, ensuring robust data transmission across joints and to the cloud, while collaborating with Electrical, Mechanical and Software teams.

This role requires a BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 10+ years in hardware design with 4+ years of people

Qualifications

• Education: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in hardware design with 4+ years in people management.
• Domain: RF/Wi‑Fi/Cellular, wire harnesses, EMI/EMC, and high/low-speed signaling.
• Leadership: hands-on mentor who can lead design reviews and allocate resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical, RF, and interconnect engineers; grow the team and drive design reviews.
• Oversee internal network architecture and routing for internal robot communication buses.
• Guide external wireless strategies for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular (5G/LTE).
• Own harnessing, shielding, and PCB routing across articulating joints.
• Define grounding, shielding, and spectrum plans to manage EMI/RF in a high‑power robot.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Software teams for seamless system integration.
