Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to lead the Resilience Engineering team.

You will drive production load testing and chaos engineering practices to ensure safety and reliability of our systems. You will mentor engineers building platforms and tooling for safe production experimentation and partner with infrastructure, product, and security leadership to embed resilience into the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in reliability or distributed systems.
• Hands-on testing of production systems including load testing and chaos experiments.
• Experience with chaos engineering tools (Gremlin, Harness or similar).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive resilience strategy and vision for production systems.
• Lead and mentor teams building platforms for safe production experimentation.
• Collaborate with infra, product and security to embed resilience into SDLC.
• Establish safeguards, observability, and automated rollbacks for resilience tests.
• Develop reusable tooling and workflows for resilience validation.
