Job summary
Halifax Linen Service is seeking a Chief Engineer to own reliability, technical capability, and life cycle performance of equipment, facilities, utilities, and technical infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that builds a disciplined maintenance organization and protects capital investments.

Qualifications
- 5-7 years of industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance or engineering experience.
- Progressive leadership responsibility with technical staff.
- Strong troubleshooting with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and controls.
- Experience with CMMS and disciplined preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Structured troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis.
- Capital project involvement and equipment installations.
Responsibilities
- Own maintenance, reliability, and life-cycle performance of equipment and facilities.
- Lead maintenance team and develop technical staff.
- Ensure HAM system discipline: work orders, PM/PdM, backlog, and inventory.
- Develop preventive/predictive maintenance strategy to reduce downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships and critical-spares strategy.
- Ensure safety, electrical compliance, and inspections.
