Job summary

City of Decatur is seeking a Recreation Services Division Manager to oversee operations of multiple recreation centers and the Aquatics division, directing programs, staff, and budgets.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, 5 years of recreation and management experience, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; salary ranges from around $61,963 to $68,370 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the recreation field with management and government experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of multiple recreation centers and the Aquatics division.
• Develop, administer, and supervise a comprehensive center-based recreation program.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual division budget; ensure financial stewardship.
• Ensure safety, service quality, and professional conduct across centers and programs.
• Collaborate with staff and other departments to align programs with city goals.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation or related field

Five (5) years of management and government recreation experience
