Palermo’s, a family-owned company, seeks a Director of Project Management in Milwaukee to lead a team of Project Managers driving business priorities into successful outcomes. You'll collaborate with Sales, R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, and other teams to ensure projects are aligned and well-executed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in a food-production leadership role.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects, particularly commercialization or new product initiatives.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing Project Managers.
• Strong project planning, prioritization, budgeting, risk management, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing business priorities.
• Advanced experience with project management systems and tools (Oracle ERP, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).

Responsibilities

• Lead Palermo’s project management strategy and oversee a portfolio of complex business and commercialization initiatives.
• Partner with Sales and business leaders to prioritize projects that support customer needs, revenue opportunities, and strategic growth.
• Guide projects from initiation through launch, ensuring clear scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and accountability.
• Establish consistent project management standards, reporting, risk management, and decision-making practices.
• Resolve competing priorities, remove barriers, and keep cross-functional teams aligned.
• Improve commercialization processes and project execution to strengthen speed-to-market and business results.
• Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers while building greater capability and ownership across the team.
