Job summary

Evans General Contractors, LLC is seeking a Director of Cost Controls to lead the company-wide cost-management program, standardizing forecasting, commitments, change management, and project financial reporting across divisions.

The role bridges Operations, Finance, Executive Leadership, and Project Teams to identify financial risk early and implement corrective actions, dashboards, and training to improve margin protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive commercial construction cost-control experience.
• Experience establishing company-wide cost-control standards across multiple projects.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma/Cost Management and Viewpoint Vista
• Strong communication skills with senior leaders

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the cost-controls SOPs and a unified methodology across projects.
• Implement company-wide standards for cost projections, forecasting, and cost-to-complete.
• Own cost-control platform governance and data integrity across divisions.
• Establish recurring financial performance reviews with leadership.
• Develop a Cost Controls Dashboard for early risk identification.
• Provide cost-control training to project teams and operations leaders.
• Collaborate with CFO and operations to align forecasts with accounting records.
• Escalate when risks arise and drive corrective action.
