Position Overview

As our Head of Product Development, you'll be the mastermind behind our next big hit! You'll blend your skills as a chef, baker, and food scientist to create mouth-watering products that our customers will love. You'll also ensure our manufacturing processes are top-notch, keeping an eye on best practices and efficiency. This leadership role is crucial to our growth, and you'll be at the heart of our exciting journey.

Reports to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Innovate: Develop new and exciting bakery products that align with market trends and customer preferences.
Lead: Oversee the R&D team, providing guidance and inspiration to drive creativity and excellence.
Collaborate: Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and translate them into delicious products.
Optimize: Implement and maintain best manufacturing practices to ensure quality and efficiency.
Engage: Be the face of Bakery Express in customer interactions, showcasing our commitment to quality and innovation.

Qualifications

Certified Master Baker (preferred) with extensive experience in the bakery industry.
Strong background in product development, with a proven track record of successful launches.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Customer-focused with exceptional communication abilities.
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and food safety standards.
Knowledge of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) quality system.
Expertise in breads and sweet goods.
Creative, innovative, and passionate about baking.
Good organization skills, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain formulas, process documentation, and train others.
Display a positive and pro-company demeanor and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
