Job summary

Helix Earth in Houston, TX is seeking a Head of Product to own the product-management system end-to-end for our commercial HVAC line, acting as a bridge between engineering, sales and operations.

This hands-on leader will drive voice-of-customer programs, craft the roadmap, set pricing and packaging, and enable channel sales. Onsite in Houston, you will shape the go-to-market and ensure alignment across the organization.

Qualifications

The Role

We are seeking a Head of Product to join our team onsite in Houston, TX, and own the product-management system end-to-end for our commercial HVAC product line. This hands‑on leadership position serves as the connective tissue between engineering, sales, and operations to translate market needs into system requirements. Core duties include driving voice-of-customer programs, product roadmap strategy, go-to-market and channel economics, pricing, packaging, and channel sales enablement.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• 8+ years of experience in product management or product-line leadership at a commercial HVAC OEM, controls company, airside equipment manufacturer, or adjacent building-products business.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• Proven track record of owning a product line, portfolio, or major product family from market requirements through launch and adoption.
• Deep understanding of physical-product commercialization and the full HVAC value chain, working directly with reps, distributors, contractors, specifiers, installers, and end users.
• Willingness and ability to work full-time onsite in Houston, TX.

Nice to have:

• Specific technical experience with RTUs, DOAS, dehumidification, ventilation, controls, heat pumps, or other contractor-installed equipment.
• Working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (such as ASHRAE 62.1, ASHRAE 90.1, Title 24, IECC) and refrigerant/EPA compliance requirements.
• Prior startups or early-stage companies experience building processes and systems from scratch.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent commercial training.
