Checkr, Inc. is hiring a Head of Procurement in Denver to lead our procurement team and drive negotiation strategy across the business. Reporting to the Controller, you will own spend policy, vendor onboarding, and due diligence while coaching a team to negotiate contracts directly.

This hands-on leadership role combines negotiation, people management, and cross-functional partnership to deliver value as Checkr grows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement or vendor management experience.
• Proven contract negotiation across multiple spend categories.
• Experience with procure-to-pay platforms and tools.
• Strong cross-functional influence and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team and growth plans.
• Build an operating system for intake SLAs and negotiation playbooks.
• Partner with stakeholders to shape negotiation strategy for spending.
• Own procurement policy, approval thresholds, onboarding and due diligence.
• Develop SOX controls and audit requirements for procurement.
