Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Director of Process Engineering in Idaho to lead the onsite Area Process Engineering team. You will support daily manufacturing operations with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and KPI reporting to monitor proactive processes for food safety and quality.

You will build strong cross-functional relations with site leaders, design improvements, and guide capital projects from concept to handoff, while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering; other engineering degrees considered.
• 8+ years in plant manufacturing or capital projects.
• 3+ years leading a technical team.
• Experience in hygienic process design, dairy/food industry knowledge preferred.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, food safety and related compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Process Engineers for proactive monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Develop cross-functional relationships with site leaders for collaboration.
• Create KPIs and reporting structures for process performance.
• Support processing, utilities and wastewater systems with technical expertise.
• Design methods to improve efficiency, cost, yield, quality and safety.
• Troubleshoot process problems and identify root causes.
• Oversee Management of Change submissions for process changes.
• Prepare conceptual designs and specify equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to meet project outcomes safely.
