Job summary

Pagaya is seeking a highly strategic Head of Portfolio Management for the Personal Loans portfolio to lead a distributed team in NYC and Tel Aviv. You will own deal economics, pricing, and portfolio strategy to drive profitable growth across the full customer lifecycle.

You will partner with Risk, Product, Capital Markets, and Engineering to align analytics with business goals, improve customer conversion, and expand bottom-line profitability, while shaping the company’s approach to credit risk

Qualifications

• 12+ years in consumer lending, credit strategy, or portfolio management.
• 3+ years leading distributed or international teams.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic, commercially driven Head of Portfolio Management. You will serve as the commercial lead for the Personal Loans portfolio, performing and reviewing deep quantitative analysis to drive business outcomes. You will lead a distributed team of 7-8 direct reports based in NYC & in Tel Aviv - owning deal economics, pricing, and portfolio strategy. We need an innovative leader who leverages advanced data science to improve customer conversion, ensure tight customer-facing alignment, and expand bottom-line profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Strategy & Deep Quantitative Analysis: Perform, review, and own deep quantitative analysis of the Personal Loans portfolio to drive profitable growth across the full customer lifecycle—from acquisition strategy to collections and recovery.
• Partner-Facing Alignment: Act as a key liaison in partner-facing alignment, ensuring that portfolio strategies, pricing, and analytics translate effectively to create a win-win with our partners.
• Deal Economics & Pricing: Lead risk-based pricing frameworks and unit economics. Balance risk and reward to maximize margins and risk-adjusted yield while maintaining market competitiveness.
• Global Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of analytics and portfolio professionals, including directly managing and aligning with teams in Israel. Establish a culture of rigorous analytical and financial discipline during a critical organizational transition.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate seamlessly with Risk, Product, Capital Markets, and Engineering to align portfolio strategies, share quantitative insights, and uncover new revenue pools.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in consumer lending, credit strategy, or portfolio management, with at least 3 years in a player-coach role that includes managing distributed or international teams (experience managing teams in Israel is a strong plus).
• Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated success in driving portfolio strategies, optimizing pricing, and navigating evolving credit environments through rigorous quantitative analysis.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of consumer credit risk and data-driven decision making.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into clear executive-level recommendations, with a proven track record of driving customer alignment and managing through organizational transitions.
