Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Plumbing Inspector by the Illinois Department of Public Health at time of hire.
• License from Illinois EPA as Cross-Connection Inspector within six months of hire.
• Valid State of Illinois driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes, schedules, and assigns building plan reviews and plumbing inspections to staff.
• Interprets and explains complex plumbing provisions to contractors and owners.
• Ensures plan reviews and inspection reports meet quality standards and code requirements.
• Directs development and implementation of inspection methods and standards.
• Oversees staff training on procedures, safety, and report preparation.
