Job summary

NY Gotham FC is seeking a Head of Player Development and Management to work with the Head Coach and Soccer Operations leadership in Whippany, NJ. This role oversees IDP and Player Outlook planning, ensuring clear development paths for First Team players and alignment with tactical concepts and roster strategy.

The position requires 5+ years coaching, extensive experience in women’s soccer, and USSF/UEFA A licenses, with a focus on high-performance development and player well-being.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of coaching experience.
• 5-7 years experience in women’s soccer and/or professional soccer.
• Knowledge of NWSL and women’s soccer landscape.
• Ability to communicate effectively and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Own the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process for every First Team player, in collaboration with the Head Coach, coaching staff, Performance & Medical, and Analysis departments.
• Own the Player Outlook Planning process for every First Team player, including on-field, career, and psyche/well-being dimensions.
• Serve as the primary on-field player-management resource to the President/GM with a comprehensive view of individual players.
• Work closely with the Head Coach to ensure clear communication of team and individual expectations to players.
• Lead the individual-development component of First Team training and conduct practices focused on IDP priorities.
