Job summary

McKesson is seeking a strategic transportation leader to oversee plasma and biologic cargo movements, including routing, network design, and carrier management. The role requires directing a 24/7 multi-site operation with focus on cost, service, and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with quality, operations, and customers to deliver reliable, scalable cold-chain transport solutions and develop KPIs and improvement plans across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 12+ years in transportation/logistics or distribution.
• 4+ years leading managers and professional teams.
• Experience with transportation operations, routing, and fleet management.
• Experience with third-party providers and performance management.
• Experience with cost management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with TMS and transportation analytics tools.
• Proven ability to analyze data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead domestic and international plasma and biologic transport operations.
• Direct routing, network design, fleet utilization, and carrier capacity.
• Oversee carrier relationships, contracts, and scorecards.
• Ensure service, cost, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop forecasts for volume, mileage, and budgets.
• Drive billing accuracy and revenue protection initiatives.
• Support customer growth, facility expansion, and business development.
• Lead responses for RFPs including pricing and feasibility analysis.
• Partner with Quality and Operations to maintain cold-chain compliance.
• Develop performance metrics, standards, and continuous improvement.
• Lead managers and staff across planning, billing, forecasting, and support.
• Present performance and strategic recommendations to executives and customers.
