Belmont Metals Inc in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Director of Plant Engineering to lead industrial engineering, maintenance, and capital equipment procurement across the site. This hands-on leader will balance shop floor problem solving with strategic planning to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance safety.

You will own preventive maintenance programs, supervise technicians and contractors, and manage equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial engineering, plant maintenance, or manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on problem solving and leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement and vendor management.
• Knowledge of environmental reporting and compliance in a heavy‑manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication across production, safety, and management teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead industrial engineering initiatives across the plant, including process design and production set-ups.
• Own and improve the preventive maintenance program for production and facility equipment.
• Manage machinery procurement, vendor relationships, quotes, and contract negotiations for capital equipment.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and setup of new equipment and networking.
