Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to lead the PPC and SEO discipline. You will own channel strategy, budget allocation as accounts scale, and mentor the PPC and SEO strategists who execute the plans.

This is a management seat, not purely individual contributor; you will own client-facing communications, set quality standards, review audits, and drive results across paid media and organic channels while coordinating with sales on what we can credibly deliver.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO. Owning one channel while sitting beside the other does not count.
• Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads to distinguish good work from looks-good work.
• One account you turned around: describe the metric before/after and why the change worked.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account is underperforming.
• Agency experience managing many accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale for PPC and SEO.
• Define quality standards, audits, and reporting; you write them and hold two specialists to them.
• Ensure client results and integrity of reporting, with attention to attribution/GA4 accuracy.
• Escalate and diagnose account risks, directing the strategist to fix issues and joining client calls.
• Plan hiring for the department and conduct first-round interviews within a quarter.
