Job summary

Ladders, headquartered in San Francisco, seeks a Head of People Operations to design and scale programs supporting growth and service excellence. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to improve lifecycle workflows, data integrity, and efficient People operations. This role carries responsibility for building processes and systems to enable scalable, high-quality support.

Location: San Francisco, CA. Compensation: $270,000 – $310,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of leadership in People Operations, preferably in shared services environments.
• Proven ability to build scalable People programs and operational processes from scratch.
• Strong operational knowledge in compensation administration and benefits management.
• Experience with HRIS and lifecycle workflows; Workday is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and scale workflows that improve team productivity with reliable information and human review.
• Coach and develop the People Operations team, establishing clear ownership and prioritizing service delivery improvements.
• Design and refine People Operations processes for onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding to support organizational growth.
• Oversee Total Rewards operations, ensuring clear ownership and decision rights while managing compensation and benefits processes.
• Utilize performance data to enhance service delivery and maintain data integrity and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and drive adoption of new initiatives.

For our client, we are seeking a Head of People Operations to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This leadership role will own the design and execution of scalable People Operations programs that support growth, service excellence, and operational discipline. The position will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to improve lifecycle workflows, strengthen data integrity, and ensure the team can deliver consistent, high-quality support. It also carries responsibility for building the processes, systems, and decision‑making structure needed to help the People function operate efficiently at scale.

Compensation: $270,000 – $310,000 annually
