LGC Group is seeking a Head of Payroll to lead US and Canada payroll operations, ensuring accurate and on-time salaries, benefits, and tax settlements. You will coordinate with an outsourced vendor and align payroll with the general ledger and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with HR and finance to maintain compliance, streamline processes, and support employees' pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role.
• Knowledge of US payroll regulations and multi-location payroll.
• Experience with payroll software/HRIS (SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Excel.
• Ability to liaise with external payroll vendors and auditors.

• Oversee processing of payroll changes (new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades

We're seeking a highly skilled Payroll leader to take charge of our US and Canada payrolls. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll, ensuring that payroll is reconciled with general ledger entries and collaborating with our Tax team to ensure appropriate settlement of Federal and Local taxes. You will have strong experience of partnering with an outsourced payroll vendor, an detailed working knowledge of US benefits to the extent our US benefits programme interacts with payroll.

• Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
• Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
• Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially Excel)
• A keen eye for detail
• An analytical mind and good math skills
• Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
• Organizational and leadership skills
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPP, CPM) is a plus
