Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Director of Paid Media to lead the PPC and SEO function, overseeing the specialists in each channel. The role is client-facing and responsible for setting quality standards, audits, and reporting across the department.

You will drive channel strategy, budget allocation, and reports, while shaping the hiring plan and first-round interviews for the team. This is a fully remote role across the USA, Canada, and South Africa.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO, owning one channel while coordinating with the other.
• Ability to lead two specialists and set quality and reporting standards.
• Comfortable taking client-facing ownership when accounts underperform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Paid Media department, including PPC and SEO strategists.
• Define quality standards, audits, and reporting processes for client work.
• Own client results and ensure reporting integrity and GA4 accuracy.
• Diagnose underperforming accounts and direct the team to fixes.
• Shape channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Convey credible delivery promises to sales and leadership.
• Plan hiring and conduct first-round interviews for the team.
